TO BE RESCHEDULED:

Empowering your clients is a whole lot easier when you, yourself feel empowered.

Featuring speakers, Auburn Logan & Sadie rose

Education for photographers and models has long been on our minds. Even in a media world where we are beginning to see real, unedited bodies of all shapes, colors and sizes, we are still exposed to a culture that heavily features advertisements, social media posts, you-name-it encouraging us all to change in one way or another and to be our own biggest critics. How can we take the taboo out of celebrating the human body and what it is capable for our clients when we ourselves are too often caught up in the race to "perfection"? There's no easy answer to this question, but there is a whole lot to be said for taking in wisdom from woman who know the pitfalls of the media all too well themselves and have made a name for themselves (by themselves, I should add) by celebrating themselves and others. Finding and being yourself may not happen overnight, so let's begin to take steps towards a greater sense of respect and honor for both ourselves and our clients/peers/coworkers/etc.

We could all use a pick-me-up to progress our own self-confidence and self-celebration journey. I was especially inspired to plan this workshop after coming across this quote from an author who is unknown who spoke about the kindest we offer ourselves and our own self image. I will expand upon this idea in my own words: We may not be able to convince others that they are beautiful but we may be able to convince them that they are kind. Would you speak the way to others the way you criticize yourself? Chances are the answer is no, and if that is the case, maybe we should all reconsider matching the amount of kindness we offer others and offer the same to ourselves.

At this workshop we will cover topics of:

+ self-empowerment, fueling your client experience, body-positivity, inclusive business practices, personal branding
